My new project, ‘Capturing a Community’ is ready to launch!
From today and for the foreseeable future, on my daily walk (from Oakgrove, Caterham on the Hill), I will photograph individuals and families on their doorstep in return for a donation to East Surrey Hospital.
The shoot will be on your doorstep/window/front garden (whatever works for you), adhering to all social distancing rules and using a zoom lens. The shoot will take 5-10 mins. Have a think about how you would like to remember lockdown and be shown in your picture… you could be in your normal daytime clothes, your PJ’s, a Xmas jumper, fancy dress or even a ball gown! Whatever you want!
Pets also welcome… outfits encouraged!
You will receive a high resolution digital copy of your best image (and maybe a couple of extras!) to share as you wish.
I will be posting images on all Sarah Olivia Photography social media platforms (make sure you follow them @saraholiviaphotography) and The Caterham and District Independent Newspaper will run a feature on this community project so your lovely faces may be in print or online.
If you do not want to be featured on social media or in the paper, no problem, just let me know.
To Take Part: Please email contact@saraholiviaphotography.com with your name, address and preferred day – I will be back in touch to confirm. You can then make your donation to East Surrey Hospital (minimum £5 please but as much as you can spare) using the Justgiving link below.
Let’s raise lots of money for our local hospital!

Can’t wait to get started and to see you all… from a distance!

PS: Thank you to all the amazing photographers around the world doing this in their local communities; they have inspired me to offer this to you guys. It’s great to be able to give something back to the NHS and further bring our communities together at this unprecedented time.
